V1
I caught just a glimpse as you
Left the planet
Lightning from the ground
So I spent half my life learning
Ways I could follow your lead
To borrow your speed
Now at last at last
I'm watching from space
But you're back down below
And you're wearing my face
And I'm laughing though
Nothing is funny in the dark
I just wanna make a spark
Chorus
We switch back like current
We're opposites thrust
In electrical
Dances of minus and plus
Our polarities split
And we can't set it right
You're day into day
And I'm midnight to midnight
You were born at the instant
I died on my first go around
And I've chased you through
Masquerade parties
And funeral trysts
But always just missed
Now at last at last
You hold court in a room
Where the clockface is frozen forever
At noon
And I'm kicking the door
Invitation in hand
But my name is spelled nowhere man
Quicksilver, quicksand
And I crash land
Chorus
We switch back like current
We're opposites thrust
In electrical
Dances of minus and plus
Our polarities split
And we can't set it right
You're day into day
And I'm midnight to midnight
The dirge and the midwife
The squid and shipwight
And the priest in the redlight
I'm midnight to midnight

I am a queer goth who works in climate. thanks for giving my soul an outlet for all this despair. I too dream of gutting billionaires... and would gladly drown when the flood comes for them. thanks for helping me keep the abyss at bay and stay in the fight. can't thank you enough for this album. alder-knight

On both Avalanche and the Whirlwind Remix particularly, Seeming manages the seemingly impossible feat of making it sound like there's 2 or 3 different songs going on simultaneously, in the best possible way. Such a huge spacious sound, and immaculate production and songwriting.
Also, I'm pretty sure Leonard Cohen would have heartily approved of this version of "Avalanche". <3 Conor Connolly
